7 Habits of Highly Pointy-haired People

My new management at work is confusing the hell out of me.

For some time now, I’ve been completely used to just doing my thing, nobody really paying attention unless they needed something. I watched my ass, because I didn’t trust a damn one of the managers or supervisors, and I kept on keepin on.

Now however, management has taken on an unsettling trend. My new immediate supervisor and our new manager actually inquire about my wellbeing and tell me, on occasion verbatim, “You’re doing a good job.” They stop by my desk just to say “what’s up”, they even encourage me to buy things and do things and go places. At times, when working on a project, I get a feeling that could possibly be…. optimism.

I’m highly suspicious about the whole thing.
