I just discovered today that I had received an “economic stimulus” payment from the AU government, so after a bit of hemming around what to do with it, I hit eBay. And as my luck would have it, there was a nicely outfitted Scupper Pro expiring today, complete with rudder and backrest, which I now own for that very amount. Now I just need to go pick it up later this week, and I’ll be out paddling various watery inlets of Sydney Harbor.
As if I didn’t have enough hobbies.
I actually hit that ‘I have too much gear, this is wrong’ threshold a few weeks ago. . not that I am getting rid of it- but my entire storage unit is floor to ceiling full.
I figure I’ve cut down the amount of crap I own by half since I moved, so I can afford myself some extra gear still before I start to feel the gear bloat.
yeah I did the same thing- it was all the alpine gear that killed me 🙂

great choice
I guess they stopped making Scupper Pro for a while & the new ones can’t be fitted with a rudder. What’s the length on it?
Re: great choice
Not sure of the length, it wasn’t listed. The harbor is usually pretty calm, so I’m not too worried about it being a long one.
