International perspective

For some reason, whether this has been the case before or not, Australia has it’s own in-game Superbowl commentary panel, made up of Aussie Rules football players and a token American that I don’t recognize. Particularly with an Aussie Rules player in this year’s match-up, they’re providing quite the color commentary during commercial breaks, then deferring to Michaels and Madden to call the game. As an added bonus, the local guys are showing some of the US commercials during their spot, then commenting on them as well. The whole thing is about what you would expect, with the Aussie Rules players equally mystified by the penalties and the sheer volume of Doritos commercials.

  1. I don’t know if you’re talking to anyone at home, but my entire social network is freaking out over the fact that Denny’s is having free grand slam breakfasts on Tuesday from 6am – 2pm.

Aw damn, no, this was the first I’d heard of it! I’d get up early for that (or more likely, go into work late for that).
