I did what?

Using a different climbing grading system here is a love/hate issue. I hate it because I can never remember exactly what the grades equate to, so I’m never really sure how hard I’m climbing, and I love it because a sure way to climb harder is to be unaware of how hard the route is.

Case in point, I just looked up the grade of the route I put up (with a couple cheats) on Sunday, and turns out it was an 11b. It was a short route, maybe 15-20m, but I’ve never put up an 11 in my life. Hot damn.

    I found the ones in europe and asia are all totally different depending on country- in italy I can climb a 11c, in austria I fall off a 8a.. it seems really random..
