Donald In Mathmagic Land

Posted: October 28, 2006 in Uncategorized

Over years of TV quite literally becoming the “idiot box”, I’d completely forgotten about all of the actually interesting and informative shows I used to watch as a kid, much of it involving Donald Duck. Having been re-introduced to them recently by Lucy and watching them again for the first time in over a decade, I realize just how depressing it is that kids now can only choose between Digimon and Power Rangers for TV, and even the Discovery Channel seems to have become entirely dedicated to dysfunctional motorcycle shops. Sesame Street seems to be the only holdout anymore, but nobody’s left to pick up the slack after kids learn how to count. What ever happened to making it fun to be smart?
