Burn, baby

Monday night I saw what is likely the most impressive non-band show I’ve seen in Eugene. After the usual Monday night pool, part of our crew split off after to go to Samurai Duck, which was rumored to have weekly fire dancing. While fire dancing is by no means anything new here, the variety and speed of some of the displays was impressive, topped off by the sheer inventiveness of the “Gynogrinders” pictured above (not by me), which is essentially two girls taking handheld grinding wheels to metal chastity belts they’re wearing. For the final touch, I’d love to see the whole thing combined with a live band, something in the vein of Rammstein. Because really, if you’re going to properly set things on fire, you should be doing it to German industrial metal.
