Double-oh-weekend

Posted: January 16, 2006 in Uncategorized
In between the long stretches of sleeping, the weekend consisted of:

  • The annual work non-Christmas party (free food, free booze)
  • After-party of said party (much more free booze and spitting on frat boys heading to the bar-of-the-week)
  • Social-obligation party (more food, spilling wine on myself)
  • Incredibly crowded hike up Spencers
  • Hunt for a new house on the motorcycle
  • Extreme housecleaning
  • The work party was unremarkable, right up until Pierce Brosnan and Liam Neeson showed up. Apparently our social events team had a hell of a budget this year. You’d think they could’ve dressed for the occasion though.

Right now does not appear to be a renter’s market. While canvasing a huge amount of my neighborhood, I saw a grand total of ONE “for rent” sign, and it was on a dumpy duplex. I have a lead from a friend on a place nearby, but perhaps I should wait a bit on the whole moving thing. Though the fence in my back yard has virtually dissolved into its molecular components.
