Something about Oct. 5th

Posted: October 10, 2005 in Uncategorized

This past Wednesday:

– Shelly’s divorce became final

– My friend Dylen closed on his house, sealing his move back to the Northwest

– I received an email from some old family friends who I have known almost my whole life announcing that she had a brain tumor removed, and in order to continue fighting would have to begin chemo and radiation. And still, the odds are not in her favor. This announcement was completely out of the blue, since they’d never let on there was anything remotely wrong.

It would appear this fall life is loading the bases, and the newly falling leaves are marking the end of more than just the summer.

Things are as they will be. Make the most of them.

it is rare that the universe is so blunt. I was just writing about that in a private entry. I realy hope i can do something to make her life more comfortable and pleasant.
things are as they will be. and exactly how they should be at every moment. i don’t know why that is. but some how it is.

Well, they didn’t KNOW anything was wrong until her MRI after your last movie night. It all happened so fast they still haven’t absorbed it themselves. I talked to her yesterday and the two of them still haven’t had a chance to really figure it out. So, there was nothing to tell you when they saw you last. She would love to come to movie night this week if she can. Give ‘er a call. She is coherent and appreciates the contact.
